Welcome to Sailability at Toronto on Lake Macquarie

SAILING WILL RETURN ON SATURDAY 12TH  OCTOBER AND

THURSDAY 17TH OCTOBER AFTER THE LONG WEEKEND.

A WORKING BEE IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER

Sailability Toronto makes sailing possible for people who cannot easily access sailing activities

because they are living with disability.

Our aim is to give our clients and their supporters the most enjoyable and rewarding sailing experience possible.

Our base at the Toronto Amateur Sailing Club is on the foreshore of Lake Macquarie with parking and wheelchair-accessible unisex toilets on site.  We have our own jetty and pontoon and a crane to winch wheelchair-bound,

or clients with movement difficulties, into and out of our dinghies.

There are eight Hansa 303 dinghies, two Hansa 303S dinghies (controlled using a small joystick and electric switches), five Hansa 2.3 dinghies and two safety boats. We also provide a life jacket for everyone who sails.

Our sailing season runs from early October until the end of April or early May,

every Thursday and Saturday morning from 9am until about 1pm.

Check out our video, made for us by Peter Field from Newcastle Video Solutions
